Would you like to (learn to) meditate and learn about Buddhism? Then this retreat is for you.
You will be introduced to the two main Buddhist meditations: “awareness of breathing” and “cultivation of loving kindness” (metta). Awareness of the breath sharpens your attention and invites you to live in the moment, while metta meditation opens your heart and cultivates love for all beings. Together, these meditations can transform your entire life.
There will also be yoga classes for body awareness and relaxation, and short, clear introductions to the Buddha’s teachings and how we can apply them in our lives.
With periods of silence, short rituals with mantras, and vegetarian meals.
A typical day on a retreat looks like this:
7.00 getting up
7.30 – 8.00 meditation
8.30 breakfast
10.30 -12.30 meditation (instruction) and talk on Buddhism
13.00 lunch
16.00-18.00 yoga and meditation
18.30 dinner
20.00- 21.00 yoga/meditation/mantra chanting
