Vrijdag 13 juni – Vrijdag 20 juni 2025
Met Jayachitta en Silavadin (voertaal Engels)
Kosten: €525 (reductie tarief €420)
This retreat is about movement and stillness. We will be exploring their meeting points, using embodied movement, interaction and meditation.
Engaging in meditation we enter the unknown, a dance with ever new experience. Entering into this dance in movement improvisation, we bridge the gap between stillness and engagement. Easy physical improvisational exercises will help us to become more present, and open to more light and joy. This will enrich our attention within and outside of meditation with the spirit of discovery.
We can apply what we notice in the physical experience straight to our meditation. The atmosphere will be supportive, playful and appreciative. ‘The Play of Now’ (https://www.playofnow.com/improvisation) helps us to be present and engaged in this moment, leaving the next moment to come freely, without being weighed down by our plans or assumptions.
Everyone attending will have practiced meditation; some have done so for years. There might be people who are familiar with movement practices and improvisation – or not. All participants will be able to deepen their own research of the interrelatedness of movement and stillness.
The function of the practice is to be still, that we can be still in the midst of movement, we don’t have to move with movement. So there’s a letting go or a disconnecting with our usual pattern of reactivity. And the reactivity arises because we think it must be something to do with us
